Fascial Stretch Therapy
FST is an assisted stretching program that has been thoroughly researched and designed by some of the top professionals in the industry. It is performed on a treatment table, using stabilization straps to hold limbs in place, giving the therapist better control and leverage when performing the stretches.Your body will be moved and stretched in ways that you just can not do on your own, with areas targeted for release that you likely have never felt before, or even realized how tight you were there. It works deep into the joint capsules of your body (almost 50% of our flexibility is locked up in our joints) areas a therapist can’t reach with their hands, or with other methods of manual therapy. Brian is currently certified through Stretch to Win in FST1 and on their way to level 2!
Clinical and Educational Somatics
The ONLY place in DFW that offers this highly effective form of neuromuscular retraining that alleviates chronic pain and improves physical functioning and mobility for clients.
WHAT IS CLINICAL SOMATICS?
The Clinical Somatics™ process uses hands-on guided movement (done by a highly trained CSE practitoner) as well as a series of self care exercises (lasting as little as 5 minutes a day) that lengthen muscles back to their natural, relaxed state and correct inefficient movement patterns.
When muscles become chronically contracted from misuse, physical and emotional stress, and injury and trauma, the body becomes imbalanced. Years of adjusting to these changes can lead to pain in the neck, back, hips, knees, shoulders, etc., eventually leading to sciatica, scoliosis, carpal tunnel, disc degeneration, arthritis, fatigue, and other structural and functional problems. Once the muscles are relaxed and balanced through Clinical Somatics™, posture and functioning return to normal, flexibility returns, and you often feel more energetic, since you require much less effort to do things like stand, walk, dance, and exercise.
HOW DO I RECEIVE CLINICAL SOMATICS?
Clinical Somatics™ occurs in 2 forms: You can receive it in hands-on sessions like going to a massage or physical therapist. It’s also available in the form of exercises you can do in group classes or using CDs and videos by yourself. A course of hands-on sessions generally also provides you with a personalized brief routine of simple exercises you can use easily for the rest of your life to stay healthy and pain free, and get even healthier and more flexible.
WHAT MAKES CLINICAL SOMATICS SO EFFECTIVE?
Clinical Somatics™ leads you through comfortable movements that focus the brain specifically on the contracted muscles and movement patterns. Once the brain is made aware of the held contractions, it is able to release them back to a relaxed state. Other pain relief and rehabilitative methods rely on someone else to “do the work”. When you actively engage yourself in the process, the muscles follow and do what they are asked.
Clinical Somatics uses the most sophisticated techniques, based on a thorough and modern understanding of human functioning, to create long-lasting and direct changes in your movement, coordination, and efficiency.
Through Private Sessions or Group Classes, you can enhance your overall well-being and ability to function, as “mind” and “body” become more in tune and integrated to help you direct your intentions in the world more effectively.

Combining some elements of sports and medical massage, orthopedic massage integrates modalities to treat soft-tissue pain and injury. Emphasis is placed on understanding both the injury and its rehabilitation criteria. Three basic elements are adhered to, despite the technical diversity in treatment: (1) assessment, (2) matching the treatment to the injury, and (3) adaptability of treatment.
Our therapists use a variety of advanced skills to create a tailored treatment to help alleviate your pain while focusing on the three elements of orthopedic massage.
Bodywork services we also provide:
- Relaxation: general moderate pressure work with long strokes to promote well being
- Prenatal: a combination of prenatal therapy and skilled orthopedic therapy. Our prenatal goes one step farther and uses techniques and stretching that promote a pain-free pregnancy for expecting mom
- Reflexology: eastern/western acupressure that is achieved by applying pressure to a client’s feet and/or hands. This treatment promotes whole body wellness, as well as foot health. This is a great treatment for Plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuroma, and other chronic foot pains
- Hot stone: treatment utilized for stress reduction and orthopedic work. Warm stones are used to soften deep layers of tension and promote relaxation
- Kinesio taping: provides support and stability to joints and muscles without affecting circulation and range of motion. It is also used for preventive maintenance, edema, and to treat pain. A great way to continue to do what you love to do while allowing injuries to heal.
- Essential oil application and education: utilization of DoTerra essential oils can help to alleviate allergies, tension, and many other ailments. Used during almost all of our treatments, they are just one more way we promote wellbeing.
